Oil markets ignore attacks on U.S. in Middle East

GasBuddy Blog -- It was only weeks ago that we learned of the slaying of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, an information officer, and two U.S. Marines during an attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Eight other Americans were wounded. Stevens was the first U.S diplomat to die in the line of duty since 1979 and the assault came on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 al-Qaeda terrorist attack on the U.S.

Published reports from The Independent in the U.K. said the attack was well organized and that hundreds were readily engaged with machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades. Additionally, the news organization said the U.S. State Dept. was forewarned three days in advance of “rapidly deteriorating security” in Benghazi...

cheapertvs is simply following the liberal tactic of repeating something often enough that he/she hopes others start to believe it's true. It's the exact same syndrome that Romney accused Obozo of using during the debate. That said, you wonder if it really does require mind-altering drugs to continue supporting this total failure of a president we have!

It has political ramifications but it does not have any current ramifications to the supply of crude oil.

Only our President believes that people show up to demonstrate against a movie with machine guns and rocket propelled grenades. Too many of our people and our president don't understand that we are in a war.

We need to insulate ourselves from this volatile region by building adequate refining capacity in the Dakotas and supply all of our needs in North America from the Bakken formation, the Canadian Oil Sands, the Marcellus formation and the newly discovered formation in Texas. The oil is here and has been verified recoverable. We also need to get BIG OIL, their Republican defenders and the speculators out of the picture. Energy independence is not that far from achievable.
