Also, make use of every gas discount program you can when you can if you can. I was able to go with one of my local gas buddies and he picked up 16 gallons for $1.93 a gallon. Hopefully, he'll be able to get 20 gallons the next time and at a lower price still. I think Kmart and Kroger still have some discounts for that, but you have to really look for what is the good deal at them in order to benefit the most. I don't know of any other out there in your area, otherwise I'd mention them and the better ones I've found here aren't out there. Have a good day kid.

We had just started a downward trend here, but that over now. We had three or four stations down to $3.13 a gallon, now they're back up to $3.33 and $3.35 a gallon. The last one just went back up yesterday. One station in Miami is already $3.89 a gallon. I'd get gassed up now as it's going up more. I wish I could have told everyone yesterday, but I couldn't make it online other than to post prices in the morning. Sorry.

"Even with the repeal of last year's 3.5 cent increase, we still have the highest gas taxes in the country..." I know! That decrease is only supposed to be temporary. Gas is going to go up in price there though anyhow. It's only a matter of days for some of the increases to hit. We're already up here at a few stations, and so are many other areas around the country. Look for gas prices to be $4.05 to $4.15 for the average sometime soon. You might want to gas up as others already did.

Thanks for the comment! I worked for a while in producing official statistics so I know how statistics can lie, and what is a fair and unfair observation. It gets my hackles up everytime this is a 'some experts estimate...' sort of line. I wrote an email to the author of the WSJ article with a few more facts cited...lets see how that goes ;-) Hope you are getting your fair share of chocolate or flowers or whatever you were hoping for today!

Oh, remember this as well, when they compromise, they screw us over more! Democrats and Republicans both will compromise to pass what they want and wee suffer more in the process. They make their investments with the knowledge of what they're doing or have done to make more for themselves! Even many of the Democrats who talk about going green have plenty of investments in oil, gas, natural gas, etc. People would be surprised to find out the truth, yet the really stupid ones will continue to support them on either side! Just like staunch Republican supporters will still vote for them or staunch Democratic supporters will still vote for them! They in CONGRESS are above the law as well, as they ALL VOTED TO do that for themselves back in 2006 under Bush and Bush passed it into law! Where was Obama? In CONGRESS!!! We would go to jail for what they do!

"I think it makes more sense to tax as a percentage of the base price rather than a fixed amount." They're not interested in eliminating waste [something which I know that you, me, and dozens of others could find within government and get rid of, from all parties, sexual preferences, sexes, races, creeds, level of schooling, etc.] which they REALLY need to do everywhere, not just in government but in most businesses and in some people's lives as well! On top of that, they're losing gas revenue due to many of us like me who can't afford a vehicle, not even a used one, who don't drive any longer, or who don't spend as much on fuel, all the hybrids and EVs on the road and vehicles that get higher fuel economy, etc. So, what they're doing to do is raise gas taxes higher, at least 11 to 15 more states and the Federal government will do it as well. It's just a matter of time!

Thank you for the condolences. It was my own mistake, I can't justify asking to have my consecutive days reinstated.
