Okay jim... now I know why I went for ownershipverses other options.. the big risks are inverter issues and lightning strikes.. both infrequent. .but anyway one can get panels in place will work.. as far as the turbos.. no kits were available for the hondas at that time with a turbo.. those kits were offered by the dealer for10K installed.. I got them in a roundabout way for about $4500 and self installed with some they scream when I command.. but Im not likely gonna change them out..I enjoythem to the finish line but now Im into mpg and getting more miles for my limited resources.. not making the 70K plus anymore working.. they sent me out to pasture at less than50% and Ive had it with employment. .30 years is a long run to get f-d in the end , but Im taking it in stride. I still had another 4 to go, but it was total backwards at the point I left.. so more mpg is me. Hope you fared better.. joe

Also.. yes turbos are more fuel efficient but they don't make that really cool sound that says "der kompressor has arrived" ( and now check out my really cool exhaust ).. bye bye! Hahaha..

Tell me about your solar deal... 5000 in.. did you get1500 tax credit? You pay solarcity? For how long? Is the system yours at the end? When is that? Please enlighten me...

lowered the rate?? what does that mean? Actuaally.. our electric bills just went up further as PSEnG was allowed a 1.7 billion dollar rider to upgrade power substations, wires, gas lines, basically the entire decrepeted system not damaged by sandy plus.... I expect rates to keep going up here surcharge or not.. my basic rate is almost 18.5 cents per kW and it goes higher from there... soon.. all those poles and wires.. may not even be necessary for many... I imagine more and more folks will o off grid with available storage options increasing.. drag on the engine?? not when they're working my friend... why put one on there if you're just gonna let it be 'a drag on the engine'? Wonder what they'll come up with to make Ev's even faster? I heard some Ev cycles are getting 1/4 miles in the 9's... (with a good back wind) Yup.. coller temps over warmer land brings afternoon clouds usually.. unless the wind moves them on...

Single inverter probably simplest and most reliable. . We has cash in low rate cds and I thought.. the govt kicks back 30%.. so my real cost was about 24K.. i pay back 2K a year either from our power budget or srec returns.. some years the srec returns paid for the entire 2K plus.. but I still owe about 18 K to the account.. no hurry.. it's cash in the pipeline to me, NOT the utility. . My original 5.29 has over 27,000 and my new 2.10 has posted 2500so Im actually closing in on 30,000 total.. ownership did get lowest cost long run.. but having capital is an issue overcome by leasing. You are doing the right thing and saving money too.. works both ways.. support my buddy pzini if you can.. he has an article on CA solar posted today.. part of the total package!! Buicks were me for many years had an85 regal grand national.. i like supercharged better than turbo.. at least the old ones.. joe

We bagged a 31 today.. not bad.. 27500 hours production since install.. micro inverters are currently the rage.. lots of them means lots of points for problems.. my system uses 3 dc to ac inverters.. more like commercial set ups..

Two different animals jim.. the solar meter just track solar generation period, whether I use it or it goes grid.. I get a credit per 1000 kW hrs.. the utility net meter tracks in and out use for my power bill.. I only pay like you, for what I can't offset in my energy year.. my dad had a 64 leSabre with some crazy fast engine, two barrel, peeled wheels, I think it took super even air.. only draw back.. first year for seat belts in that buick... joe

You're referring to the 10 solar credits I bag each year 1 per 1000 kW hrs as read by my solar meters.. I enter reads into GATS each month to generate srec s which I sell to buyers when I think the bid is good.. anywhere from $60 to $700 each depending on demand and supply, but as of late about $160 ea. I bought yokohamas W speed rated though I think Vs are required.. the computer probably shuts it down at the max V will rate.. its gotta be more than 125 cause Ive had it there briefly a few times... Our system has been in since 2010.. not sure of the 10 you refer to.. it clouded up.. bad forecast.. maybe 20 so far.. no maintenance so far.. I heard inverters bug out around 15 years if bought on the cheap . You dont get to sell srec s right? Saw 4 volts on my drive today.. countless prius.. gotta look into options but i keep gasoline to about a semi painful $350 a month by circulating through the fleet.. joe

Jim... don't anything I have will do 243 MPH...but I bet I can get 160 in the 04 TL... poop.. I drove it 120 last week on my favorite cut loose road...(all was clean and clear).. in any case.. never heard of such insanity.. wonder how I missed that? I blew 1100 kW hrs last year.. they went back to PSE&G for $53.00.. gotta use 'em bro'.. I sold a few credit this year in the $170's... I get about 10 a year as an owner... that helps pay back the system cost plus give some wiggle room on the bills... of course physical maintenance is our responsibility in that deal.... sunny here all day.. perhaps will havrvest a 45 or so... rock on! Joe
