Did you see this? http://www.msn.com/en-us/weather/topstories/europes-solar-power-industry-braces-for-solar-eclipse/ar-BBhVbGi?ocid=iehp

I'm off a bit below .. we consume almost 900 kW hrs a month.. I guess with a full out Ev that could go to about 1500 or so....

by Joeski1  Yesterday

looks like a 509 for system 1 with another 131 off system 2... that 509 would put it in a tie for the 2nd best Feb in the past 5..(w/2011).. '13 is worst @ 403, '14 @ 437, and '12 (best) @ 537...I think next month will be our tipping point to higher production than use.. we consume about 800 a month so 640+/- may sound like a lot.. it's still 160 under our average power diet.. more snow?? we get dusting/ rain or freezing rain.... How many more days did that gopher resign us too?

Jim.. looks like we beat last Feb... not by much.. but we did...panels are clear here .. 39 kW hr yesterday....

Oh, I Googled something like Boston electricity and it seemed like there were a lot of choices. I can't believe the snow you have had there. The middle of Feb. last year, we had an inch of snow and that was the first snow in 5 years. On the other hand, I can drive 25 mi. across town and then 20+ miles up our 9,400 ft mountain and usually go skiing. Not last year though because of the drought they missed opening for the first time in ~50 years.

I have an answer to your snow problems. Take down your PV panels, send them to me, I'll tell Tucson Electric Power that the additional kWhs are yours. They can notify the electric power company that you use there in Boston to expect a few billion electrons. WoW, do you need a few more companies for one town? When the panels are going gangbusters in June, I'll come visit my electrons. LOL!

ps.. I know what you mean about cell phones.. throw another LG phone on the plastic heap... this time I'm going Samsung... all my stuff is.. gone!

SC is probably up to their foreheads in issues with all that snow.. that Boston has had two or three of the worst winters ever in the past 25 years really begs to question.. WTH? I know you want that weight off your roof... any that you did clear was a step towards that.. it may allow some room for the rest to move downward as it thaws.. that moves weight toward the walls and away from the roof peak... and that is the way to go... geez.. but be careful dude... gotta get some youth out there to pick up the slack... I'm 52 and I don't think I'd be up on a ladder in the snow and ice and wind.. You are most crusty!! an old salt as they say!! God bless. Joe
