We're up by 32 cents a gallon at quite a few stations now since last Sunday. The 2nd round of increases started yesterday as I had expected, still ongoing today. The 3rd is coming up, here and most everywhere.

Congratulations for posting gas prices for 500 consecutive days, to help save money. That is real commitment. May 2014 bring you and yours peace and joy. .YB.Shep

I believe it. We'll see a decline on the markets, but it's not really going to be a decline now as the price was pretty stable between $2.61 and $2.69 back in January. We've gone onto $2.89 to $3.04 now, and we're not going back down to the $2.61 level this time, and we might not ever if they have their way and most likely, they'll have their way.

Hey, don't I know you! How you been? Better fill up bro, gas prices are up on the wholesale markets over the last few days. I've seen station around here go from $3.13 up to $3.33 in a day or overnight.

Thank you for your kind words jcurley. I noticed your excellent comment on the tarsands article: "Time to start forcing these companies to set aside money in a trust fund, to pay for any environmental damage and cleanup after they are done. Otherwise, they ruin an area and then file for bankruptcy when something bad happens. Meanwhile, they've pocketed the billions in profits." Very well said Bud. Concise & to the point. Look at the Charleston,WV chemical spill. Have a great weekend ;0}

>way too much misinformation out there.< You are being politically correct by calling it "misinformation." Call a spade a spade and call it "stupidity." >if we could get the tea party anarchists in congress to change the 15% ethanol requirement, back to 10%, we would all appreciate it.< The so-called "15% ethanol requirement" has nothing to do with the Tea Party. Congress did not pass any law authorizing E-15. Big Ethanol went to the EPA requesting a waiver to the regulations, and Obummer's activist EPA decided it was okey-dokey. There are well over 100,000 filling stations in the USA. E-15 is available at less than 100. Shows how much people want the stuff.
