I retired here in the Seattle area, but I spent the first 8 years of my career stationed in Virginia & Florida. My wife is from New Jersey, so we'd go to the city when we could. Another great example of Mas-Transit in a city is our neighbors just across the border in vancouver, BC. They have the Sky-Train, buses and Prius cabs work off that line and use timed traffic lights to speed them along. (I'm also working on my Masters in Public Administration and Bus Rapid Transit is one of my favorite subjects to work on.
