Neither BP nor the Coast Guard contributed to those problems. The famed journalist Edward R. Murrow got it right in 1958 when he said, 'One of the basic troubles with radio and television news is that both instruments have grown up as an incompatible combination of show business, advertising and news'." Mr. Murrow identified a problem you may want to discuss with others to stop the foolishness.
