Going to try to go, my Chiropractor wants me to help him ( Lions Club) with traffic control. I might do that. We live in the landing pattern for West Houston airport and get to see some of the planes come in for the show. The B-17 is awesome to see come in on final. Yesterday I saw a Ford TriMotor come in. This is the first time I have seen it come in for the show. Are you going to the event ?

My father-in-law runs an operation in Wyoming. My understanding is that they are the first 46's to be released into the civilian world, so there is a mountain of red tape to cut through.

Stubby (Viking) ?

Thanks for the BR. Gladly accepted. I'm a non-vet too. My dad was Army in WWII, over in Germany. I grew up in Virginia Beach. I had a low draft number in '73, but Uncle Sam established the all-volunteer service, so I wasn't drafted. Spent 38 years as a US Navy civilian. Worked for and along side some of the finest young men and women in the military at NAS Norfolk and MCAS Cherry Point. I'm going back to look through more of those flickr pics myself. Nice to talk with you today. Have a nice one!

Enjoyed your photo albums. I began my Aircraft Mechanic Apprenticeship back in the early 70s working on the A-6 in Norfolk. Very capable attack aircraft.

Good morning CatMan...noticed your avatar. FRC East was the Depot Repair point for the H-46 for generations. Even today, you can still spot an occasional flight of the HH-46 "Pedro" rescue helicopter over coastal Carolina. Still a beautiful aircraft. https://www.flickr.com/photos/rcsadvmedia/5510818071/
